There are no prerequisites for registering for the iSAQB® Foundation level certification exams.

To register for the iSAQB® Advanced level exams you must hold the iSAQB® Foundation level certification.

(Note: Advanced level exams are not currently offered by ITA-STQB.)

Taking a preparation course is recommended but not required to take any exam.

For each certification, iSAQB has created a curriculum (equivalent to a syllabus) that summarizes the knowledge required to pass the exam.

Preparation for the curriculum topics is recommended, achieved through a course provided by an accredited trainer or through personal study, combined with exercises or supported by practical experience.

Regarding training courses, it is recommended to only take exam preparation courses offered by iSAQB® accredited training providers.

The exams are administered online in Live Remote Proctored mode and consist of questions that can be in Italian or English (depending on the exam type and upon request at registration).

The iSAQB® CPSA Foundation level exams are based on multiple-choice questions.

Each multiple-choice question includes a question and a list of suggested solutions (options) and can offer different answer options.

To ensure the professionalism of the exams, all ITA-STQB exam questions are reviewed by international expert panels, or have been developed by the same panels of experts.

The exam essay is composed in accordance with the international iSAQB® rules, in terms of:

• Proportional distribution of questions based on the content of the curriculum chapters,

• Distribution of questions among the different types: Type A = single choice, Type P = multiple choice (two or more correct answers, with a number indicated in the question), Type K = true or false, applies or does not apply, etc.

Score Assignments

Correct answers are assigned predefined points, according to the following rules:

• For a single answer (Type A), the full score for the question is awarded if the only highlighted answer is "correct".

• For multiple choice answers (Type P), a fraction of a point is assigned for each correct answer and a fraction of a point is subtracted for each incorrect answer. Under no circumstances can the score be negative.

• For Type K answers, a fraction of a point is assigned for each correct answer and a fraction of a point is subtracted for each incorrect answer. Under no circumstances can the score be negative.

• 0 (zero) if multiple answers are highlighted, making the choice unclear, or if no answer is provided.

The CPSA Foundation level exam consists of 40 to 50 questions, with a passing score of at least 60% of the maximum possible score.

The exams are conducted online in Live Remote Proctored mode and consist of questions that can be in Italian or English (upon request made at the time of registration)

The duration of the iSAQB® CPSA Foundation is 75 minutes (for candidates taking the exam in a language other than their native language, the duration is extended to 90 minutes).

To obtain an iSAQB® certificate, it is necessary to successfully pass the exam provided by ITA-STQB.

You will receive your certificate via email (in PDF format); the certificate contains, among other details: your name, the iSAQB® Certified logo, the certificate's identification number, the certification date, and the level you have achieved.

To give visibility to your certification, your name may be included, if you have provided authorization, in the list of certificates issued in Italy.

iSAQB® certificates have unlimited validity.

Online certification exams can be scheduled independently after registration, according to the procedures described in the Online Exam Guide.

The cost of all iSAQB® certification exams is €280.00 + VAT.
